• Bay mare foaled March 30, 2000 ~ September 2008

This wonderful mare, bred by my good friend and trainer Rick Stevens, is out of my own Stonecroft Shalimar. Rick graciously named Rosie in honor of my mother, who was my closest friend and shared a mutual love of horses with me. Rick was kind enough to share Rosie with me and I have Sarde's Ave Maria (by Favorite Son) to replace her. Her last gift to me was the wonderful 2008 filly, Sarde's Insatiable (by Minion Millennium). Rosie succumbed to colic the day after what would have been my mother's birthday, and she is buried on the hill overlooking our farm, keeping watch over all of us.
