SARDE MORGANS IS JOGGING INTO THE SPOTLIGHT!

We couldn't be more proud of young Sarde's Rock of Love (Lamborghini In Black x Treble's Tainted Love). He has been enjoying the nice weather in Ocala for the last year and recently began what will undoubtedly be a great career in the western pleasure division. After testing the water in early February at the Jubilee of Breeds Show in Newberry with some strong ties in three classes, he boldly jogged into the Open Western Pleasure Championship at the Gasparilla Charity Show in Tampa in March and came out with Reserve Champion honors. At the recent Citrus Cup Regional in April, Rock won the Open Western Pleasure qualifier (pictured with Rick Gervasio up) and switched riders for a Reserve Open Western Pleasure Championship go with Alix Mitchell in the saddle. OUR FIRST FOAL OF 2013!

Born April 5th, this big, fixy boy is the leader of our 2013 hit parade of foals and we couldn't be more pleased. WELCOME HOME, FLIRT!

With the help of our good friend Lori Sargeant of Three Fates Farm in Wadsworth, Ohio, we are elated to welcome home Sarde's Town Flirt! This wonderful daughter of our WC Stonecroft Shalimar, sired by WC Man About Town LPS, was sold for a record setting price as a weanling and is currently in foal to Millennium Force (Minion Millennium x Arboria Fortune) for a 2013 foal. She will be bred back to his sire, of course!

We are truly thrilled that Nancy came back to Sarde Morgans as a repeat customer in this purchase, having also bought Sarde's Sublime from us in March 2011. Culver met "Cher" while visiting with Anne Benson at Anne Benson Stables and it was love at first sight. This very cute daughter of Stonecroft Shalimar has been learning her ABC's and is a very willing and smart student. It's all about Ladies Park Saddle and Hunter Pleasure for Sarde at the 2012 Grand National!

Anne Benson has just five weeks to prepare our new acquisition, Sunny Acres Miss Scarlet, for her class at the Grand National, but this new team was spot on to win the Park Saddle Ladies Mares Grand National Championship. A strong fourth in the very tough World Championship was also achieved, and now we have the winter to dial in Scarlet for 2013! Also bringing home a significant win was Cardinal Brook Love Shack with the very talented Alyssa Wick in the saddle for RAND. This very new entry to a very tough division finished his week as the Four Yr Old Hunter Pleasure Reserve World Champion. Let the Sun Shine In! Miss Scarlet relocates to Rhode Island...

Sarde Morgans is pleased to welcome the many time park harness and in hand champion Sunny Acres Miss Scarlet (SpiceOLife Right Answer x Arboria Bewitched) to our collection. When we saw her at Massachusetts All Morgan, we just couldn't leave without her. While Anne enjoys a few rides on her this year in Ladies Park Saddle, Roxanne is getting in shape for her return to the ring next year! Many thanks to Kathryn Gallant for entrusting us with her lovely mare, to Will Vidler for representing Ms. Kathryn, and to Anne Benson for representing Sarde Morgans in this purchase. Barely in the barn a week and Anne whisked Scarlet off to the Granite State Morgan Show to win the Ladies Park Saddle class, qualifying them to continue on to the Grand National next month in Oklahoma City.

Career girl changes owners and direction!

There is nothing more rewarding for a breeder than to have their star recognized by another discipline as a talent, and this is the story of our beautiful English Pleasure and Park champion, Sarde's Insatiable (Minion Millennium x Joan Rose). After topping off her three year old year with a Grand National title in pleasure driving, "Skye" kicked off this season with the Junior English Pleasure Championship at Connecticut, then marched up to claim the Junior Park Saddle Championship at Mass Morgan in grand style. FEI dressage rider Tess Dempsey watched her all year and decided this lofty moving madame would be her perfect new upper level dressage prospect. So we are thrilled to congratulate Tess on her new purchase and we can't wait to watch Skye as she wows the dressage world with her presence and great Morgan athleticism! Anne Benson has been Skye's director of success since last fall and was agent for both parties in this sale.

Massachusetts Morgan Show is a home run for Sarde Morgans!

It was a fun week at the entertaining Mass Morgan Show with Anne Benson Stables. Sarde's Insatiable (Minion Millennium x Joan Rose) made her park saddle debut and was victorious in the 4 Year Old qualifier and finished as Junior Park Saddle Champion. Sarde's Get Up Stand Up (KDS Star Wars x Treble's Tainted Love) burst into the ring for the first time in harness and was rewarded with Reserve Champion Two Year Old Pleasure Driving after a strong second in a nice class of youngsters. And we asked our versatile Photographer and Website Guru, Tami Johnson, to fly up from Florida to throw a leg over Sarde's Scoundrel (Winterset Thyme N Agin x Tara's Sable) and this pair found their niche in the Junior Classic Saddle division with a Reserve Championship and a second in their qualifier. Have amateur card, will travel! On to OKC...

We are also very proud of niece Victoria Ricci and her new mare Stardivari, who had a winning debut together as the Amateur Park Harness Champions and the winners of the Junior Exhibitor Park Harness! Victoria and Star are under the direction of Mike & Liz Murphy at Legacy Stable in Mendon, MA.

Sarde Morgans are victorious at 2012 Massachusetts

Kicking off an unbelievable week at the Connecticut Morgan Show was Sarde's Get Up Stand Up (KDS Star Wars x Treble's Tainted Love) winning the Two & Under Geldings In Hand. Sarde's Scoundrel (Winterset Thyme 'N Agin x Tara's Sable) made his saddle debut with a great win in the English Pleasure Novice Horse. And making a clean sweep in the Four Year Old English Pleasure division was Sarde's Insatiable (Minion Millennium x Joan Rose). All three of these youngsters are under the direction of Anne Benson at Stonegate and she did a wonderful job with all three kids. Also taking home a tricolor in the Junior Classic Pleasure Driving Championship with my sister Cheryl Sardelli Ricci on the lines was Sarde's Surreal (Astronomicallee x Sarde's Victoria Anne), who is under the direction of Mike & Liz Murphy at Legacy Stable.

WAY TO GO Victoria Ricci and SARDE'S STILL SMOKIN!

I am so proud of my niece and her wonderful Sarde gelding, Sarde's Still Smokin (Winterset Thyme 'N Agin x Stonecroft Bewitched), who shifted from classic pleasure to the highly competitive hunter pleasure division and finished their first show in fine style. Under the direction of Mike & Liz Murphy at Legacy Stable, they took home from the Connecticut Morgan Show two Championship titles and a blue ribbon! Champion Jr. Exhibitor Hunter Pleasure 14-15, 1st Jr. Exhibitor Hunter Pleasure 14-15 and Reserve Champion Hunter Pleasure Limit Rider. What a great way to kick off the 2012 show season!

Sarde Morgans Welcomes Trail Blazers 4-H Club!

On June 23 we welcomed half of the Trail Blazers 4-H Club to Sarde Morgans to meet and greet the 2012 Foals! Everyone was on their best behavior and the kids seemed to really enjoy the Morgans. We're looking forward to the second group's arrival!

Erika Mitchell of Reevedale Farm helped Sharon choose this wonderful 4 year old gelding by Favorite Son and out of our full sister to KDS Star Wars, and she is the lucky new trainer. Many thanks to Anne Benson for doing such a great job of training Satisfaction and representing Sarde Morgans in this sale.

Our last foal of the season comes in with a BANG!

Stonecroft Bewitched delivered a beautiful bay colt at 11 pm on May 22nd, sired by the late, great World Champion HVK Courageous Flaire. Thankfully, Roxanne was on hand as it was a "red bag delivery", which required her to tear open the placenta so the foal wouldn't suffocate. She is working on an appropriate name for this very special baby!

Shalimar does it again...

WC Stonecroft Shalimar thought stablemate Minnie (Sarde's Victoria Anne) had the right idea, and so on April 24th she presented us with this lovely bay filly by KDS Star Wars. Delicate and oh so friendly, she is just getting her balance and we will have more photos soon of Sarde's Starina!

Our first arrival of 2012!

An outstanding bay colt arrived on April 23, sired by KDS Star Wars and out of Sarde's Victoria Anne (Stonecroft Masquerade x Lady Hot Topic). Yes, Sarde's Sirius is every bit as upheaded as this photo shows, and we are thrilled with this one!

We're so excited that Cheryl Sardelli Ricci has decided to lease Sarde's Surreal (Astronomicallee x Sarde's Victoria Anne) for the 2012 show season! A grandson of one of her favorite mares, Lady Hot Topic, "Sur" will be under the direction of Mike and Liz Murphy at Legacy Stables in Mendon, MA.
